Ms. Akesha Yolanda Chesterfield was born on November 29, 1979 in Murfreesboro, TN to Mrs. Gloria (Frank) Gaines and the late Mr. James William Alexander. Akesha was called to rest on Monday, August 10, 2020 at Stonecrest Medical Center in Smyrna, TN.
Akesha received her education from Smyrna High School and Kaplan University. She was very smart and received honors with achieving the highest test scores in the school. Akesha was also acknowledged by the Who’s Who among High School students. She also enjoyed cooking, styling hair and being a woman of fashion.
Akesha accepted Christ at a tender age and united with Ebenezer P.B. Church where she sung in the choir.
She was preceded in death by her father, James W. Alexander; sister, Makela Alexander; and aunt, Rosie M. Nelson (her twin).
Akesha leaves to celebrate her memories, her mother, Gloria (Frank) Gaines; children, Jamarcus Chesterfield, Isaiah Boone, James Boone and Ianiah Boone; her sisters, Pamela Lillard, Shatika (Michael) Price, Yolanda Alexander and Millie Gaines; brothers, Nicholas (Felicia) Chesterfield, Frank Gaines, III, Franklin “Juan” Gaines, James Alexander, Shondell (Gabby) Alexander and Jazz Alexander; devoted friend, Anthony “Tony” Lavalias; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles cousins and friends.
