Deron Andre’ Nelson possessed an incredible personality which made a lasting impact on everyone who met him. Deron was a young man with extraordinary confidence, never met a stranger and didn’t allow any situation to intimidate him. He believed in himself and his ability to accomplish his dreams, aspirations and any goal he could imagine.

Deron loved the Lord and gave his life to Christ at an early age. He was a faithful member of the Sand Hill Church of Christ & served as a committed encourager of the Word of God. Those who spent time with him would tell you he was running from his calling to proclaim God’s Word. He would often share messages he had listened to or viewed presenting the preaching points with others who needed encouragement. As he matured in the Word he would challenge himself and others to be more committed to the work of ministry.

Deron was a graduate of Riverdale High School and a constant learner. Prior to graduating high school he began     flexing his entrepreneurial muscle by starting a business detailing and washing cars which was his passion. This passion began with washing cars while people would get their haircuts, later moved to a mobile detail until eventually evolving into both a permanent location in South Murfreesboro and a mobile unit. Deron had a gift of conversing and moving in a variety of circles creating a diverse clientele which fueled the success of the business.

Deron loved his family and leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, Albert & Judy Nelson, who nurtured and cared for him as he faced issues with his health. Deron would share with his parents how much he appreciated them taking him to appointments, cooking all his favorite meals and loving him unconditionally. Deron was their premature miracle baby born at 2lbs 4oz with his vital organs on the opposite side but grew into an amazing young man with gifts, talents & abilities too numerous to mention.

Deron will be missed by his three brothers Demetrius, Detrick & Brandon, their wives Shounika, Sherrill & Kim who he simply called his sisters and his niece and nephews, Andrew, Alexis, Aiden, Kaylib & Bradyn who affectionately referred to him as Uncle Ron. Deron was truly the baby brother of the family in every sense of the word. He was loved faithfully, protected from those who would do him harm, encouraged to be the best version of himself, corrected when he was wrong and covered constantly in prayer. Deron will always hold a special place in each of our lives and it is hard to imagine living without him.

Deron also leaves behind a host of aunts and uncles who loved their nephew George Miller, Kaye (Marvin) Crocker, Tony (Lynn) Miller, Anita McAdoo, Tommy (Betty) Nelson, Sarah (Jerry) Holman, George (Vanessa) Nelson, William (Marie) Nelson, Clarence (Debra) Nelson, Pleas (Jenee) Nelson & Gertrude Shannon.

Deron had so many friends and people who loved him. Without mentioning each of you we want to say thank you for your friendship and love. If you prepared him a meal, made sure he took his medication, visited him in the hospital, made sure the doctors and nurses took excellent care of him and let them know he had family & friends who loved him, picked him up just to hang out, called him or took his phone call. Whatever acts of kindness you showed thank you for making our son, brother and uncle’s life richer.  A special thank you to Kendrick  Norman & Breiana Green for all your selfless acts of love shown to Deron each and every day.
