Memorial Service
Dominique Ann Anderson, affectionately called “Neekey” (Squisshy by her sisters) received her Heavenly Wings on December 1, 2024. Dominique was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, cousin, niece, godmother, and friend.
Dominique was born November 23, 1992 in New Orleans, LA. She went to Gaudet Elementary School and Fannie C. Williams Middle School, in the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans. After Hurricane Katrina relocated her family to Murfreesboro, TN, Dominique attended both Siegel Middle and Siegel High School. Her father, Joseph, instilled a love for technology and Dominique received a Google Certification in 2020. She also received an Accounting Certificate in 2023. She was in the process of getting a Realtor’s license and was also enrolled in a Healthcare Administration Finance course.
Dominique was a Jack of All Trades. She loved to cook and wanted to eventually be a Chef. She wanted to open a music studio, a Daiquiris Shop, and she even wanted to someday win a poker tournament.
Dominique loved her family and always showed up with a wide smile. She loved everything New Orleans, food, dancing, and partying. She loved to go to the Bingo Hall with her sister Shawna and play video poker with her Grandmother. She loved a good party but she especially loved spending time with her nieces and her godson. She was an excellent teacher. She assisted Leanetta with homework and expertly answered all of Lea’s questions. Dominique was always smiling, giving, and generous to a fault. If possible, she gave you anything you asked for. She was always optimistic, never negative, and fearless. She was a lot to look up to, she was always doing something and it always had to do with money.
Dominique is survived by her Mother, Dwanda Anderson-Martin, Father, Joseph Jackson and Stepfather, Lemantine Martin; Sisters, Alisha and Leanetta Anderson and Shawna Sylvester; Brother, Clifton Jackson; Stepbrothers, Lemantine Brown and Preston Martin; God Sister, Rachel West; Nieces, Jane and Amani Davis; Nephews, Anthony IV and Jeremiah Davis; Great Niece, Demi Davis; Godson, Christoper Garza; and a whole host of cousins.
As her mother always said, You Are Beautiful Just The Way You Are.
