Dorothy Louise Alexander was born April 17, 1945, to James Franklin and Suzanna Mintlow in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She departed this life on October 26, 2024.

Dorothy received her primary education in Rutherford County School System at Little Bethel, Water Hill, Tennessee. She professed her belief and faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ under the leadership of Reverend Leggs at Hickory Grove Baptist Church. She later moved her membership to Faith Chapel, under the leadership of Reverend Dallas Green until her health failed her.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Joe Alexander; her parents, James and Suzanna Mintlow; siblings, Edward Mintlow, Tommy Mintlow, Bobby Mintlow, Jimmy Mintlow, Rebecca Cross and Jerry Mintlow, Sr.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory, stepson, Lamont Patterson; sisters-in-law, Mother Martha Bigsby, Shirley Alexander, Barbara Brinkley, Helen (Gregory) Lyon and Shay Alexander; brothers-in-law, Jerry (Nancy) Alexander and Dave Cross, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends; devoted friends, Mary Malone, Neil and Clara Carney, and Robert and Mary Dodd and family.
