Mr. Ivory Washington King, age 81, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013 at his home in Broussard, LA.

Mr. Ivory served this country in the Korean Conflict, worked for over 30 years as a chef offshore, and is well known as the booming voice you heard for 11 years at Wal-mart on West Pinkhook Rd.

Mr. King is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Dorothy L. King of Broussard, LA; his son, LaDrake King of Lafayette; his daughter, Melissa King Lopez of Lafayette; 4 grandchildren; one brother, James King and sister -in –law, Lula King of Murfreesboro, TN, and a host of dearly loved nieces, nephews , cousins, and friends.
