Deacon Charles (Charlie) Edward Richardson, Sr. was born May 22, 1953 in Rutherford County to Joe T. Richardson and Laura Richardson.  He transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on January 4, 2018.

He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Silver Springs Missionary Baptist Church where he continued to worship until his death.  He served as a faithful deacon, member of the choir and male chorus.

Charlie served in the Army for a full term and was honorably discharged in 1976.  He worked diligently for Cumberland Swan and the Veterans Administration for most of his work life. He loved his family, music and his Dallas Cowboys.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe T. and Laura Richardson; brother, Joe T. Richardson, II. 

He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife, Dianne; sons, Shaun (Amy) Richardson, Charles Jr “Chucky” Richardson and Chris (Lacreksha) Martin; sisters, Grace Muse, Lorreanne (Larry) Daniels and Betty Richardson; brother, Carl (Bonnie) Richardson; sister-in-law, Michelle (William) Kelly; brother-in-law, Ted Johnson; uncle, Charlie (Lorene) Richardson; aunt, Edith Richardson; eight grandchildren, Jalen, CJ, Ryann, Kaylee, Brenivye, KJ, Amari and Ja’Markus; one great-granddaughter, Kyra; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
