Mr. Daniel Allen Akins Jr. closed his eyes and went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Henrietta Davis, Robert and Aline Akins, Uncles Clifton (Kathy) Akins, Anthony Akins, Michael Akins, Aunts Mary Cason and Marsha Naomi Wilson.
Daniel leaves to cherish his memories, his loving parents, Daniel and Bernice Akins,; brothers Ashton K. Bass, Allen B. Daniels; uncles and aunts, Nathaniel (Danielle) Akins, Carl Akins, Alvin Akins, and Thomas Akins of Shelbyville, TN.; Eugene (Denise) Davis, Tyrone (Alisa) Davis, Robert Davis and Senora Roberts of Murfreesboro, TN.; Barbra (Ray) Ligon of La Vergne, TN.; Mattie (Larry) Stillwell of Lewisburg, TN.; and Clarence (Kathy) Davis of Cleveland, OH.
Devoted cousins Monique Davis, Torrius (Jennifer) Davis, Tony (LaToya) Fletcher, Tysha (Robin) Mason, Tamiko (Larry) Verge, Tamarial (Kalandore) Kelly, Jeremy Davis, Kelly Davis, Makeitha King, Quanesha Davis, Shay Davis, Dacarion “Dman” Smith, Rocario “Roc” Davis, Timiya “Poodie” Corder.
Daniel “DuKake” was a devoted son, brother and cousin to many. He was our heartbeat; our headache and he was loved by many. He developed new friends, Mrs. Barbara Bass, Gentrice Jones, Kyion “KJ” Tucker and his special friend “Beano”, their family pet.
