“Come unto me all ye that are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”
St. Matthew 11: 28

My name is Mister Frank Lymon, Jr. some call me “Sony”.  I was born on August 15, 1946 to the late Lillie Lee Smith-Lymon and Frank Lymon, Sr.  I have a loving and devoted sister Allene (Alfonzo) Jordon and a lovely and intelligent niece LaKisha Bradley and a loyal uncle and friend J.C. Venoy, “my brother”.  My parents early demise led me to the loving care of my grandmother Lucille Booker Smith Venoy “Momma T” (deceased).  I accepted Christ into my life at a young age; for whom I am thankful.  I attended Davidson County school system, Ford Green, Washington and Pearl High Schools and later Lewis County High School where for the first time some got introduced by me to the “slam dunk”.  I studied and became a basketball standout and captain as well as met my soon to be wife, Ollie Louise Kittrell-Lymon (deceased); together we had five beautiful children: Linda Lymon (Hampshire, TN), William Eugene Lymon (deceased), Maria Louise Lymon (Old Hickory, TN), Frank Lymon, III (Nashville, TN), Gary Lymon (Hendersonville, TN); a little later on in life, to my surprise I had my youngest son, DeShawn Lymon (Nashville, TN) whom I have enjoyed in my life.

I made my life as a laborer, carpenter, truck driver, business owner (Wild Thang Lounge) and cook…I love cooking, BBQ was my specialty and you gotta have some collards; y’all may have had some. I enjoy classic cars (Chevy man) had a few too, back in the day; but to have a feeling of true serenity I fished.  There’s not a more relaxing way to spend time with ones thoughts and with the Lord.  I’ve had some good catches too…even mounted a large marlin I once caught.  I settled making my home in North Nashville where I lived with my longtime companion, Juanita Miller.

I have been blessed with eleven grandchildren, Lionel Lymon, Zaquitsha/Shamels Mohumad, Naketta/Martus, Marquisha Jackson, Shawn Lymon, Desmond Lymon, Deja Lymon, Mercedees Drumwright, Armani Lymon, Keygarian Lymon and Keyontay Lymon; nine great grandchildren, Omari, Zaria, Ma’Nija, Malaiyah, Harmony, Daniel, Maria, Jedidiah, Zaivion; and God bless you all as well as a host of longtime friends, associates, cousins and other related family members.
