On Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Alive Hospice residence in Nashville, Tennessee after an extended illness, God summoned Jim Henry Alexander from his earthly tabernacle to His heavenly abound.
Jim Henry Alexander was born on March 30, 1928 to the late William Lee Alexander and Katie Bell Weeden Alexander. Jim was preceded in death by three sisters, Hattie Lee Alexander, Minnie Gay Johns and Addie Mai Slay. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, John Alexander, MC Alexander, Bobby Alexander and Sammie Alexander.
Jim attended public school where he played the drums at Old Holloway School. Jim loved doing things for people and enjoyed most, driving his Cadillac.
On August 4, 1956, Jim married Josie Mary (Mai) Fields Alexander who preceded him in death on January 14, 2001. With this union, they were blessed with one daughter.
Early in life, Jim became a member of Brandon Chapel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Frank Brown. Afterwards, Jim moved his membership to Brandon View Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. John Brown.
