William Edward Coure’s Video

“Bubba” William Edward Coure began his life on November 11, 1938, in Nashville, TN. He was born to the late Thomas L. Coure and Mary Ella (Burkes) Coure.

Bubba attended Nashville Christian Institute under the watchful eye of Marshall Keeble and also attended Cameron High School. He was an avid athlete playing basketball, football and baseball, which led him into the direction of coaching to share and instill his passion for sports.

Bubba joined the U.S. Army from December 13, 1961, through December 12, 1967. Bubba also worked for the A&P Candy Company in New York and retired from Metro Nashville Schools.

In 1988, Bubba met Brenda Coure and the two were joined in holy matrimony. He was a fervent minister of the gospel and Brenda became a preacher’s wife, both spreading the good news to all men.

Bubba was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Coure; brother, Charles Coure; and sister, Bernice Guthrie.

Bubba leaves behind his daughters, Valeria Coure, Mary E. Coure-Sweat, and Tiffany Coure; stepchildren, Sherron (John) Hughes, and Shirlita (Douglas) Jones and Steven Coure; brother, Thomas Coure Jr.; sister, Ann Fleming; and a host of grand/great/great-great-grandchildren, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
