Addie Johnson Miller was born September 10, 1960 to her loving mother Louiza Johnson. She transitioned from this earthly life to her eternal home free of pain and sickness on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital. Addie was a 1978 graduate of Oakland High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and continued her education at Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee. Addie began her professional employment with Perfect Equipment as a Secretary. She was then employed by Middle Tennessee State University as an Operator and ultimately was employed by State Farm Insurance. Addie was a Claims Processor at State Farm and was employed there for 28 years until her health failed. Addie was also a Notary.

With her love for traveling, Addie always found time for fun family vacations. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working crossword puzzles, word searches, and entertaining herself with games on her ipad. She was a proud Grandmother and absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren. Addie loved the Lord and He was her Shepherd. She was a very strong and compassionate person and she touched everyone she knew in a very special way. She was kind-hearted, loving and an awesome care giver. Addie held many titles and took care of so many with unshakable grace. She was an awesome Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and Friend. She was a gift to those in need and a treasure to those who loved her.

Welcoming her into heaven will be her brother in life and her brother in love, Bobby H. Miller. Bobby and “Addie P” (as Bobby affectionately called her) had a special bond. With her passing, Addie and Bobby are now together again looking down on us from heaven. Addie leaves to cherish her loving memory, her devoted husband George Ray Miller; a very special and precious mother Louiza Johnson; two loving children Alecia Yvonne (Tyree)Watson and Michael Rayshawn (Dagna) Hicks; Four grandchildren Cristian, Michael Jr., Brooklyn and Maliya; sisters Ruby Akridge, Mai Miller, Shirley (Samuel) Mack, Linda Johnson, Edith Uzoho (Los Angeles, California), Bertha Brown, Barbara Batey, Debora Harris (Curtis); one brother, Ernest Johnson; a very devoted mother-in-law, Nancy Miller; sister-in-laws Judy (Albert) Nelson, T. Kay (Marvin) Crocker (Chicago, Illinois) and Anita (Thomas) McAdoo; brother-in-law, Tony (Mary Lynn) Miller; aunts, uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
