Delphine was born to Charles Chambers and Lucy Mae Chambers on August 1, 1955. She attended Southeastern High School in Detroit, Michigan. After graduation, she attended Highland Park Community College where she received her Associate Degree.

Delphine was an excellent housekeeper who liked cooking, reading, going to church and she was in God’s Holy Tabernacle Choir. Delphine loved shopping, modeling and she loved to sing. Delphine worked for Dr. James Stubbs, MD as his nurse in Detroit, Michigan.

Delphine married at an early age to Kaganovich Germany, Sr. and to this union she was blessed with three sons. Years later, Delphine relocated to Murfreesboro, TN where she met and married Marvin Dawson and to this union one daughter was born.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Chambers; mother, Lucy Mae Chambers; grandfather, Lewis Sanders; grandmother, Australia S. Sanders; and great grandmother, Lucy Harding.

Delphine leaves to cherish her memories, three sons, Kaganovich Germany, Jr., Toshiro Germany and Byron Germany; one daughter, Australia Dawson; one sister, Cherrie Calhoun-Rose; one nephew; Charles Calhoun, Jr.; two nieces, Fallon Calhoun-Smith and China A. Rose; five grandchildren; her prayer partner, Edward Gantt, who she affectionately called “Uncle Ed”; special friend, Shirley; and a host of aunts, one uncle, cousins and friends.
