Lillie Mai Woodard was born in Pleasant Grove, TN to parents, Ervin Woodard, Sr. and Sylvania (Irene) Hall Woodard, on December 12, 1930.

Lillie was baptized at an early age at Richmond Church of Christ (Richmond Community, TN) and attended school in Pleasant Grove, TN.

Lillie was an avid gardener. She loved flowers, cooking holiday meals, GOD, her siblings and ALL her nieces and nephews, who affectionately called her Pay, Lulla-Pay and Maise.

Lillie was a strict disciplinarian, who guided her children with love and wisdom. They loved her dearly!

GOD, Church and family were her everything. She was a faithful member of the Bird Street (formally East Cedar Street Church of  Christ), until her health failed. She served as a bible schoolteacher and kitchen assistant for many years. She LOVED and was devoted to helping and serving others throughout her life and in her younger years, enjoyed ”feeding the preachers and their wives” in her home.

Along with her parents, who preceded her in death, were siblings, Lurlene (Panzie) Woodard, Ervin Woodard, Jr., Thomas Earl Woodard, Minnie Lee Woodard, Ruby Katherine Woodard and George (Elsie) Woodard.

She is survived by one sister, Margaret Woodard-Holman; children, James Larry (Mary) Woodard, Elliott Brent (Ann) Woodard and Sonya Lowayne (Mike) Walls; beloved grandson, Anthony Marable ll. She also leaves to cherish her memories, a host of nieces,  nephews, cousins and friends.
