Lolies was born in Akron, Ohio on July 23, 1930, to the late Hoarse and Roberta Smith.
She went to Christiana School and Holloway for two years. She was later married to Sandy Newman.
Lolies became a faithful member of God’s House of Restoration, formally known as Brandon View, until she passed. She worked at Park Sherman and then Allied until she retired. She then became a caregiver, and she helped take care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lolies enjoyed cooking, baking, watching The Price is Right and Let’s Make a Deal. She just really enjoyed being with her family.
Preceded in death by her husband and parents; son, David Smith; Genice Mai Newman, Margret Baker and Sadie Smith; brother, Hoarse Sonny Smith Sr.; sister-in-law, Odessa Smith; great grandchildren, Kirsheika Turner, Lanyiah Turner and Antonio D. Miller; niece, Mildred (Thomas) Spann; and nephew, Donald Smith.
Lolies is survived by devoted daughter, Vivian Faye (Andrew aka Pop) Miller Sr.; two granddaughters, Sandrea B. Miller and Andrea G. Patterson; one grandson, Andrew (Precita) Miller Jr.; nine great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren; nieces, Florence Smith; Beverly (Frank) Murry Kelly and devoted niece, Anita (Joe) Scoot-Smith; devoted cousin, Stella Freeman; first cousin, Dora Nell Freeman; sister-in-law, Alberta Newman; nephew, Thomas (Cuturia Kinsey, CK) Freeman; and a host of family and friends.
