On September , 1927 Lorine Shepard was born to Charles Edward Emmons and Ozella Dangerfield in Lincoln County, Tennessee.
She was educated in the Lincoln County Schools.
She accepted Christ at an early age. In 1963, she married Alonzo Willis Shepard and the two made Nashville their home. In Nashville, she was united with the Fourteenth Avenue Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. Felton Price where for many years she sang in the Senior Choir; after the choir were reorganized she sang with the Inspiration Choir until she could no longer do so. Later in life, she served faithfully with the Mother’s Union. All that knew her, was aware of her love for her church family. At church and in the community, she had many friends and was loved by all.
For many years, her main occupation was of a domestic worker. She was known for her cooking skills and specifically being a baker. In addition, she was well known for using her sewing skills to sew for herself and many others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Shepard, son, Anthony Earl Shepard, parents, Charles and Ozella Shepard, six brothers and six sisters.
She is survived by (or she leaves to cherish her memories): daughter-in-law, Jackie Shepard; devoted grandchildren Kejuan, Michael, Anthony (Nicholas), Chounyieka, Nickola, and Javonka Shepard; 17 great grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and remaining devoted friends, Mrs. Mary Louise Watson and Mrs. Jane Davis.
