Friday, January 24, 2014 Sand Hill Church of Christ Interment Sand Hill Cemetery Mrs. Lucile Miles, better known as Ms. Honey, was born September 10, 1922. She left this earthly life Tuesday, January 21, 2014. She was raised by the late Hattie and Lem Dillard. Her education was received at Rosenwald School. She completed eight grades. She began to work early in life as a homemaker for other families. Ms. Honey also worked at Stewart Air Base, Central State, Smyrna Anex and retired from Swan Drugs. She married young in life to now deceased John Gregory. Out of this union three children were born, now deceased Richard James and Patsy Kelly Gregory. She leaves to cherish her memories one son John Allen Gregory; one sister Nora Mae Peebles; very devoted grandson Ollie O’Neal Owens, grandson James Wright; two granddaughters Clara Akins and Nancy Leach; great-grandson Quentis Haynes and Antonio O’neal Owens; devoted nephew William Peebles; long-time friend and caregiver Charleen Cobbs; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Later in life she remarried Jimmy G. Miles the love of her life whom widowed her in 1995. Her wishes were to see him again and on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, her wishes came true. |
