Mrs. Wordna McKnight was born on April 05, 1944 to the late Jim and Hattie Adams. She departed this life on September 26, 2018 at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Wiley G. Adams and Pauline Johnson; her children James W. Anderson, Sharon Douglas and William B. Anderson III; and grand-daughter, LaKisha Caruthers.

Mrs. McKnight was an active and devoted member of the Auburn Hills Church of Christ of Woodbury, TN. She attended worship services regularly until her health began to decline. Through her illness, she remained strong in her love, faith and praise to Jesus Christ.

Mrs. McKnight dedicated her life to caring, giving and loving all who were in her presence. Throughout the years, she touched many lives, hearts and people of those in the community. For over 20 years, Mrs. Wordna organized a community meal between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, until she was unable to do so because of her health. Despite any personal circumstances, Mrs. McKnight enjoyed helping others in any way possible. She was well known for her amazing cooking and baking skills, as well as her kind and welcoming spirit. A strong legacy remains standing in Wordna McKnight’s honor.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted husband of 40 years, Henry T. McKnight; her daughters, Cynthia (Don) Smith, Conteria (Donald) Claybrooks and Sonia Bates; her son, Shondell Frazier; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many loving friends.
