Toyna Sue Warren Chunn, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on August 14, 2024. She was 62 years old. Toyna was born on December 26, 1961 in Shelbyville, TN to the late Maude Sheffield Warren and Charles Warren Sr.

Toyna’s life was defined by her unwavering dedication to her family. In 1981, she married the love of her life, Keith Chunn. Toyna and Keith were married for 43 years and had two children, Broderick Keith and Crystal Monique, whom she loved deeply. She was also blessed by several others that call her Momma and she loved it.

She was a devoted wife and mother who always made time for her husband and children. Toyna also adored her grandchildren, Joshua Elias Chunn Perry, NaTasia Monique Chunn Starks, Mariah Nicole Chunn, Matthias Alexander Myers Chunn, Lydia Raine Chunn, and Genesis Alana Chunn and she cherished every moment she spent with them, always teaching them.

During her life, she worked as a nurse at Chalkline and at National Pen. Moreover, she served faithfully in the church, first at the East Cedar Street congregation and then at the Bird Street church until her passing. She taught Sunday School, prepared communion, visited the sick and shut in, served in the kitchen and quilting ministries, and assisted families as needed during their time of bereavement.

Toyna’s passion was bringing love and creativity to life. She enjoyed sewing, creating shirts and various other items, decorating for different holidays, and creating opportunities to bring her family together for things such as family Easter Egg Hunts and crafting. She had a warm and welcoming personality and was loved by all who knew her. Toyna’s smile lit up a room and she had a way of making everyone feel at ease.

Toyna is survived by her husband of 43 years, Keith Chunn; her children, Broderick (Ashanti) Chunn and Crystal Chunn; her grandchildren, Joshua, NaTasia, Mariah, Stenyelee, Ezequiel, Matthias, Esvanyelis, Lydia, and Genesis; her siblings, Jesse Warren, Carolyn Buckingham, Delbra (Jaimie) Gattica, Robert Warren, Terry Warren, Charlene Warren, and Lee Warren; sisters-in-law, Kawonna (Wayman) Lewis and Kathy McGee; brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Michelle) and Kevin, and brother-in-law and cousin, Benjamin Chunn. She is survived also by aunts, Euralene Sheffield and Frances Arnold, and a host of other family, both physical and spiritual.

She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Maude Warren Hall and siblings, Morse Warren and Curtis Warren.
